Today we were doing the 'Fat Tire Bike Tour ' which was a gift from Stace and Erica. Stace had done this tour previously and thought it would be great for us to do to get a good look at the city. We met the tour group under the Eiffel Tower before a short walk to there offices to get the bikes. The bikes are big 'cruiser' style with fat tyres ( obviously ) and long handle bars which are easy to ride and a lttle bit cool.
The Tour starst off with a gentle ride through a park before venturing out onto some of the busiest roads in Paris covering off the main sites and attractions of the city. Sites ticked off were , Eiffel Tower, Champ de mars, Ecole militaire, The Dome Church ( Napoleans tomb ), Hotel des Invalides, Jardin des Tuileries, Placa de la Concorde( stolen from the Egyptians ) , Musee d'Orsee and Musee du Louvre. The tour guide gives an informative trip through French history with a bit of a slant to keep it entertaining , the french had a violent and crazy past. It was really good fun and jess was a demon on her bike as some of the pics will show. The tour finishes back at the Eiffel tower for some great shots and back to the office to drop the bikes off.
